Bamboozle 3.2 : Welcome to the Games Room

Game Center’s matchmaker is fantastic—when two players happen to request a duo match at the same moment. The problem? Bamboozle players are spread across 139 countries, every continent, and all 24 time zones. Someone’s tapping away in Mauritius while another is playing in Montreal, yet they rarely overlap. People have been hitting “Match,” waiting… and eventually giving up. So we fixed that.

Twice-daily Global Sessions

Starting in version 3.2, tap the new Games Room button on the Duo Play tab. You’ll see a countdown to the next session, which kicks off at 08:00 UTC and 20:00 UTC every day.

  • UK: 8am & 8pm
  • New York: 3am & 3pm
  • Sydney: 7pm & 7am

(And of course, the app converts it to your local time.)

How it works

Select Games Room from the Duo Play tab. When the countdown hits zero, a big Join Games Room button appears. Tap it and Game Center begins matchmaking. Let it run for at least a minute—giving the system a little time dramatically increases your odds of being paired.

Climb the ELO Ladder

Duo Play uses the same ELO rating system trusted by chess tournaments. Beat tougher opponents and you’ll climb faster; crush a novice and you’ll barely move. That keeps matches fair and progress meaningful for everyone.

Ready to meet new rivals from around the globe? Update to Bamboozle 3.2, hop into the Games Room, and we’ll see you on the leaderboard.
